Detailed explanation-1: -Nov 2015: The Lucknow–Azamgarh–Ballia Expressway renamed as Purvanchal Expressway. Feb 2016: State Government allocated ₹1, 500 crores for the expressway in the budget. Dec 2016: Akhilesh Yadav, then Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh lays foundation stone of Lucknow-Azamgarh-Ballia Expressway on 22 December 2016.
