Detailed explanation-1: -He was one of those early pioneers who recognized the critical role of education in the empowerment of the poor and backward Muslim community. In more than one ways, Sir Syed was one of the greatest social reformers and a great national builder of modern India.
Detailed explanation-2: -In 1859, Sir Syed wrote a booklet“Asbab-e-Baghawat-e-Hind” (The Causes of Indian Revolt), in which he highlighted that British were the equal responsible as Hindus and Muslims.
