Detailed explanation-1: -(2) Whoever commits hacking shall be punished with imprisonment up to three years, or with fine which may extend up to two lakh rupees, or with both.
Detailed explanation-2: -Hacking is a punishable offense in India with imprisonment up to 3 years, or with fine up to two lakh rupees, or with both. Chapter IX Section 43 of IT act, 2000 prescribes a penalty for the damage to computer or computer system.
