Detailed explanation-1: -A fable is a story that features animals, plants or forces of nature which are anthropomorphised (given human qualities). A fable always ends with a ‘moral’. This is the lesson that is intended to be learnt through reading the story. One of the most famous fables is The Hare and the Tortoise.
Detailed explanation-2: -Aesop’s Fables-Morals at a Glance The Tortoise and the Hare-Never give up. The Ants and the Grasshopper-Work hard and play hard, but always be prepared. The Dog and the Shadow-Be happy with what you have and don’t be greedy. The Crow and the Pitcher-If at first you don’t succeed, try and try again.
Detailed explanation-3: -fable, narrative form, usually featuring animals that behave and speak as human beings, told in order to highlight human follies and weaknesses. A moral-or lesson for behaviour-is woven into the story and often explicitly formulated at the end. (See also beast fable.)
Detailed explanation-4: -The characters of a fable may be animals, plants and legendary creatures. When animals are used in fables, they think and talk like people, even though they act like animals.
