There was a woman who lived all alone. She was lonely and wished for a child. One day, she met an old lady. The old lady gave her a magic seed to plant and to water with love. The woman took good care of the seed, and eventually a flower grew. When the petals opened, the woman found a girl the size of a thumb. The woman named her Thumbelina.
