Detailed explanation-1: -2. Where was the volcano eruption in Iceland? The eruption took place in the Meradalir valley, an uninhabited region in the Reykjanes peninsula, southwest Iceland. It is near Geldingadalur, the site of the 2021 Fagradalsfjall eruption.

Detailed explanation-2: -When it was erupting, Fagradalsfjall volcano was one of Iceland’s hottest attractions. After almost a year of laying low since its first eruption in 2021, the volcano started erupting again on 3 August 2022. Although molten lava isn’t flowing at the moment, this is still one of the country’s must-see destinations.
