Detailed explanation-1: -The river Ganga is also known as the Bhagirathi. Some of the tributaries of the Ganga include Ramganga, Gomti, Ghaghara, Gandak, Kosi and Mahananda from left bank and Yamuna, Tamsa, Son and Punpun from right bank.
