Detailed explanation-1: -The Quit India Movement was started in the Bombay session of the Indian National Congress following the failure of the Cripps Mission in 1942. The ‘Do or Die’ slogan was given during a speech by Mahatma Gandhi at the Gowalia Tank Maidan or August Kranti Maidan in Mumbai.
