Detailed explanation-1: -Troposphere. Known as the lower atmosphere almost all weather occurs in this region. The troposphere begins at the Earth’s surface and extends from 4 to 12 miles (6 to 20 km) high. The height of the troposphere varies from the equator to the poles.

Detailed explanation-2: -The Troposphere This is the lowest part of the atmosphere-the part we live in. It contains most of our weather-clouds, rain, snow. In this part of the atmosphere the temperature gets colder as the distance above the earth increases, by about 6.5°C per kilometre.
