Detailed explanation-2: -The current flag, also known as the Union Jack or Union Flag, is a representation of this unification. It was adopted on January 1, 1801, and consists of a red cross for St George, the Patron of England, superimposed on the white cross of St. Patrick, the patron of Ireland.
