Why was it remarkable to find Tutankhamen’s tomb full of treasures?
A
Most of the pharaohs’ tombs were hidden so well they have not been found.
B
Most pharaohs’ tombs had caved in.
C
Most pharaohs were buried with little more than a coffin.
D
Most of the pharaohs’ tombs had been robbed.
Explanation:

Detailed explanation-1: -Whereas the tombs of most pharaohs were plundered by graverobbers in ancient times, Tutankhamun’s tomb was hidden by debris for most of its existence and therefore not extensively robbed. It thus became the first known largely intact royal burial from ancient Egypt.

Detailed explanation-2: -The tomb’s low position, dug into the floor of the valley, allowed its entrance to be hidden by debris deposited by flooding and tomb construction. Thus, unlike other tombs in the valley, it was not stripped of its valuables during the Third Intermediate Period (c. 1070–664 BC).

Detailed explanation-3: -King Tutankhamun (King Tut for short!) became ruler of Ancient Egypt when he was just nine years old. The Boy King died just ten years later and he was buried in a golden coffin surrounded by 5, 000 priceless treasures, including animal statues, jewellery, clothes, weapons and even toys.

Detailed explanation-4: -Why is King Tut so famous? Tutankhamun is so famous because his tomb was discovered entirely complete, containing fabulous treasures that helped the egyptologists to better understand the process of mummification.

Detailed explanation-5: -Unlike other pharaonic tombs, which had been fully ransacked over the centuries, King Tut’s tomb “had only been lightly looted, ‘’ says Mueller. The scarf packed with gold rings was evidence that the thieves may have even been caught in the act or scared off by guards and left their loot behind.
