Detailed explanation-1: -On the Slide Master tab, in the Master Layout group, click Insert Placeholder, and then click the type of placeholder that you want. Click a location on the layout, and then drag to draw the placeholder. If you add a text placeholder, you can add custom text.

It has one Title placeholder, and one Subtitle placeholder (plus Slide number, Footer, Date). The title placeholder is formatted with the Headings text style, the subtitle placeholder is formatted with the Body.
