Detailed explanation-1: -The vas deferens carry sperm from testicles to the urethra. The urethra is the tube inside the penis. Once they are cut, sperm can’t get into the semen or out of the body. The testes still make sperm, but the sperm die and are absorbed by the body.

Detailed explanation-2: -The epididymis is the tube which moves the sperm from the testicles. Vas deferens. This is a tube in which the sperm is stored and it carries the sperm out of the scrotal sac. The vas deferens is between the epididymis and the urethra and connects these together.

Detailed explanation-3: -When a vasectomy is performed, each vas deferens is cut and cauterized (sometimes sutured closed) to prevent sperm from leaving the epididymis (figure 1). This way, no sperm are expelled from the penis at the time of ejaculation. (See “Vasectomy".)
