Detailed explanation-1: -This photograph of Anne Dallas Dudley was circulated by the women’s suffrage movement to show that she was not “mannish.” She was photographed reading to her children Trevenia and Guilford Dudley Jr. The national convention was headquartered at the Hermitage Hotel in Nashville, one block south of the Capitol.

Detailed explanation-2: -In 1917, Dudley was appointed vice president of the National American Woman Suffrage Association (NAWSA). She worked closely with President Carrie Chapman Catt in planning national suffrage strategy and worked to promote suffrage across the South.
