What caused some many of the Acadians to die
A
Disease on the transport ships
B
Fighting the British military
C
Starvation
D
Having to listen to Mr. T’s bad puns all day
Explanation:

Detailed explanation-1: -From 1755 until 1763, about 10, 000 Acadians were forced to leave. The British sent thousands of them to the 13 Colonies. A large percentage of them died of diseases or starved. Others were sent to the Caribbean.

Detailed explanation-2: -Once the Acadians refused to sign an oath of allegiance to Britain, which would make them loyal to the crown, the British Lieutenant Governor, Charles Lawrence, as well as the Nova Scotia Council on July 28, 1755 made the decision to deport the Acadians. The British deportation campaigns began on August 11, 1755.

Detailed explanation-3: -At least 5, 000 Acadians died of disease, starvation or in shipwrecks. The majority of those deported ended up in Europe, the New England states and, eventually, Louisiana, where their descendants have been nicknamed Cajuns.

Detailed explanation-4: -In the Grand Dérangement (the Great Upheaval), more than 12, 000 Acadians (three-fourths of the Acadian population in Nova Scotia) were expelled from the colony between 1755 and 1764. The British destroyed around 6, 000 Acadian houses and dispersed the Acadians among the 13 colonies from Massachusetts to Georgia.
