Detailed explanation-2: -Outer Himalayas, also known as the Shiwalik Range, is situated between the Great Plains and the Lesser Himalayas. The elevation ranges from 600 to 1500 metres. It stretches 2, 400 kilometres from the Potwar Plateau to the Brahmaputra Valley. The southern slopes are steeper than the northern slopes.
