Detailed explanation-1: -The National Park with an area of 754 sq. km. is located in Kullu District and has the temperate and alpine forests of Himachal. Its virgin coniferous forests throbbing with wildlife and vast alpine pastures and glaciers cap this park.

Detailed explanation-2: -The Great Himalayan National Park Conservation Area is located in the western part of the Himalayan Mountains in the northern Indian State of Himachal Pradesh.
