Detailed explanation-1: -[10th September, 1948.] An Act to provide, in pursuance of an agreement with Pakistan for the exchange of prisoners, for the of certain prisoners from India to Pakistan and the reception in India of certain prisoners from Pakistan.
Detailed explanation-2: -(1) Every prisoner under sentence of death shall, immediately on his arrival in the prison after sentence, be searched by, or by order of, the Jailer and all articles shall be taken from him which the Jailer deems it dangerous or inexpedient to leave in his possession.
