Detailed explanation-1: -An Act to provide for the control by the Union of the Tea industry, including the control, in pursuance of the International Agreement now in force, of the cultivation of tea in, and of the export of tea from, India and for that purpose to establish a Tea Board and levy a duty of excise on tea produced in India.

Detailed explanation-2: -4. Establishment and constitution of the Tea Board. ―(1) With effect from such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, specify in this behalf, there shall be established for the purposes of this Act a Board to be called the Tea Board.

Detailed explanation-3: -VIII OF 1938. [PASSED BY THE INDIAN LEGISLATURE.] (Received the assent of the Governor General on the 28th March, 1938.) An Act to provide for the control of export of tea from, and for the control of the extension of the cultivation of tea in, British India.
