Detailed explanation-1: -Stamps. The first postal stamp in India was introduced on 1 July 1852 in the Scinde district. In 1854 the introduction of uniform postage rates led to the development of the first postage stamps valid for use throughout India.

Detailed explanation-2: -All India Postage Stamp issued on 1st October 1854. The stamp was known as ‘Half Anna Stamp’ which showed a youthful profile of Queen Victoria. That was the first stamp in Asia, issued by British India, which was decided to be printed in India in the interest of economy.
