Detailed explanation-1: -Description: It is one of the earliest mosques in India and was erected between 1192 and 1198 by Qutubuddin Aibak. Qutubuddin initially called it Jami Masjid but later renamed it as Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque meaning the ‘might of Islam’.

Detailed explanation-2: -Quwwat al-Islam mosque and minaret, were built during the last decade of the 12th century. The mosque was enlarged by Alauddin Khalji and Itutmish.

Detailed explanation-3: -The Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque was built by Qutb-ud-din Aibak, founder of the Mamluk or Slave dynasty. Construction began in 1193 CE. It was the first mosque built in Delhi after the Islamic conquest of India.
