Detailed explanation-1: -PASSED BY THE GOVERNOR GENERAL OF INDIA IN COUNCIL. (Received the assent of the Governor General on the 15th March, 1881.) An Act to regulate labour in Factories.
Detailed explanation-2: -of Factory Act 1891. The main provision of this Act included: fixing daily 9 hours work child labourer’s between 9 to 14 years, 11 hours work for female labourer’s, daily half an hour break for Tiffin and one day’s compulsory rest in a week.
Detailed explanation-3: -Promulgation of First Indian Factory Act 1881 to improve the labour condition-It was primarily deals with the problem of child labour between the age of 7 to 12 year. Hazardous machinery to be properly fenced off. It was the first factory act which paved the ways for the successive factory Regulation.
