Detailed explanation-2: -The march covered over 240 miles, from Gandhiji’s ashram in a place called Sabarmati to the Gujarati coastal town of Dandi. On 6 April he reached Dandi, and ceremonially violated the law, and started manufacturing salt by boiling seawater. This movement marked the beginning of the Civil Disobedience Movement.
Detailed explanation-3: -Champaran Satyagraha was the first civil disobedience movement which was launched by Mahatma Gandhi in 1917. It was done to protest against the injustice meted out to tenant farmers in Champaran district of Bihar. During British rule, many tenant farmers were forced to grow indigo on some part of their land.
