Detailed explanation-1: -In normal course, information to an applicant shall be supplied within 30 days from the receipt of application by the public authority. If information sought concerns the life or liberty of a person, it shall be supplied within 48 hours.

Detailed explanation-2: -The information can be obtained within 30 days from the date of request in normal case and in the matter of life or liberty of a person, information can be obtained within 48 hours from the time of the request.

Detailed explanation-3: -In such a case, you are required to file your appeal in physical mode to the concerned public authority. 2) Another case can be if your RTI application has not been replied to by CPIO and 30 days period has not lapsed. In such a case, you may file first appeal only after completion of stipulated time period of 30 days.
