Detailed explanation-1: -The kingdom finally opted to become full fledged State of the Indian Union with effect from 26 April, 1975 vide the Constitution 36th Amendment Act 1975 with special provision laid for the State under article 371(F) of the Constitution of India.

Detailed explanation-2: -35th Amendment Act, 1974 The status of Sikkim as a protectorate state was terminated and Sikkim was given the status of ‘Associate State’ of India. The state of Sikkim was given an associate status in the Indian Constitution in the year 1974.
