Detailed explanation-2: -Section 2(e) of the Act provides for ‘competent authority’. Competent authority is the authority in charge of the autonomous institutions functioning under the provisions of the Constitution. Such authority has the ultimate responsibility for the enforcement of the RTI Act in those institutions.

Detailed explanation-3: -The. Act provides that information includes any material in any form including records, documents, memos, e-mails, opinions, advices, press releases, circulars, orders, logbooks, contracts, reports, papers, samples, etc.
