Detailed explanation-1: -The gut-associated lymphoid tissue (GALT) consists of isolated or aggregated lymphoid follicles forming Peyer’s patches (PPs). By their ability to transport luminal antigens and bacteria, PPs can be considered as the immune sensors of the intestine.
