Detailed explanation-1: -Each skeletal muscle fiber is a single cylindrical muscle cell. An individual skeletal muscle may be made up of hundreds, or even thousands, of muscle fibers bundled together and wrapped in a connective tissue covering. Each muscle is surrounded by a connective tissue sheath called the epimysium.

Detailed explanation-2: -Each myofibril is made of many sarcomeres bundled together and are attached end-to-end. Each sarcomere is made up of thick and thin filaments. These are cylindrical in shape hence can be easily arranged into parallel arrays which increases the strength of the muscles.
