“The present research aims to help develop students’ writing skills and literary appreciation by applying a model based on the reader-response strategy and visual symbols. Specifically, it comparatively examines acceptability, impact, strengths, and shortcomings of the Personal Family literacy learning model in promoting students’ writing skills. The research adopts a quantitative approach to a quasi-experiment design. To analyze students’ writing, a qualitative approach was also used. It was concluded, among others, that the Personal Family literacy learning model was significantly conducive to the promotion of students’ writing skills, as reflected in the considerable improvement in the experimental class. As for its limitations, it was observed that a great deal of time was required, as students needed to respond to the texts and situations both verbally and nonverbally, and the guided questions, though they facilitated student responses, needed time of their own. Overall, the model of Personal Family proved to 74 make a significant and positive difference in students’ writing skills in the experimental class and had a meaningful impact on the development of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects."What part of the structure is the passage above?
