Concept note-1: -In it, he invoked the principles of human equality contained in the Declaration of Independence and connected the sacrifices of the Civil War with the desire for “a new birth of freedom, ” as well as the all-important preservation of the Union created in 1776 and its ideal of self-government.

Concept note-2: -President Abraham Lincoln had many important documents one of them with was his, Address at the Dedication of the Gettysburg National Cemetery. The Gettysburg Address was a point made by the President to not only preserve the Union, but to create equality for all, which would lead to the disbandment of slavery.
