Unfortunately, the peace treaty that officially ended the conflict-the Treaty of Versailles of 1919-forced punitive terms on Germany that destabilized Europe and laid the groundwork for World War II.

Concept note-2: -The Treaty of Versailles, which officially ended World War I, was signed on June 28, 1919. The main authors of the treaty were the leaders of France, England, Italy and the United States.

Concept note-3: -Delegates signed the Treaty of Versailles in the former palace’s famous Hall of Mirrors, ending World War I. On June 28, 1919, the Treaty of Versailles was signed at the Palace of Versailles outside Paris, France.

Concept note-4: -The Treaty of Versailles was a peace document signed between Imperial Germany and the Allied Powers on 28th June 1919. The treaty ended the state of war that had existed between Germany and the Allies from 1914 and brought World War I to an end.
