Concept note-1: -Allusion is noun and a literary device which briefly and indirectly references a person, place, thing, or idea containing cultural, historical, literary, or political significance to the reader or author.
Concept note-2: -Why did Truth make this allusion? She is referring to Eve from the Bible. Eve in the Bible was blamed for bringing sin into the world. Truth mentions this because most people in that day would have recognized the allusion and it supports her point that women are strong.
Concept note-3: -An allusion is when we hint at something and expect the other person to understand what we are referencing. For example: Chocolate is his Kryptonite. In the this example, the word “kryptonite” alludes to, or hints at, the hero Superman.
