EXPLANATIONS BELOW
Concept note-1: -The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced.
Concept note-2: -If you’ve received a good education, you might even be able to recite it from memory. Everyone knows the irony of that line where Lincoln says “the world will little note, nor long remember what we say here”-ironic because his brief dedicatory remarks have become the most famous American speech.
Concept note-3: -The main message of the Gettysburg Address is that ideals are worth dying for and that it is up to the living to carry on the work of those who died to protect ideals. The ideals of equality and freedom are the bedrock of the United States as a nation.
