Concept note-1: -The Declaration of Independence is a document that officially records the proclamation that the United States is an independent country from Great Britain.
Concept note-2: -The Preamble describes the new philosophy of government that Jefferson and the other Founders proposed. It also justifies the “necessity” of a revolution. In this section of the document, the ideas in John Locke’s Second Treatise of Government are described in a short, simple statement.
Concept note-3: -The Virginia Declaration of Rights strongly influenced Thomas Jefferson in writing the first part of the Declaration of Independence. It later provided the foundation for the Bill of Rights.
