Concept note-1: -The tone of voice in communication is defined as ‘the way a person speaks to someone’. It is how you use your voice to get your point across. If you don’t do it right, there is a risk of your point getting lost or misinterpreted. An optimistic and positive tone of voice is always welcome.

Concept note-2: -When some people are more motivated, they tend to have a somewhat hyper tone to their speech. A hyper tone is typically displayed by talking somewhat fast and even high-pitched. This type of hyper tone is this way because the motivated person is excited about whatever they are motivated about.

Concept note-3: -The tone of any piece of content can be analyzed along 4 dimensions: humor, formality, respectfulness, and enthusiasm.

Concept note-4: -Tone is the author’s attitude toward the topic. The author’s attitude is expressed through the words and details he or she selects. For example, textbooks are usually written with an objective tone which includes facts and reasonable explanations. The objective tone is matter-of-fact and neutral.
