Concept note-1: -Bounty System, in U.S. history, program of cash bonuses paid to entice enlistees into the army; the system was much abused, particularly during the Civil War, and was outlawed in the Selective Service Act of 1917.

Concept note-2: -What Is a Bounty? A bounty is a sum paid by a government or business entity to reward certain activities or behavior to reach an economic goal or solve a problem.

Concept note-3: -Use of Bounty Hunters. Bounty hunters are people who have the authority of bond agents to arrest delinquent clients and deliver them to the appropriate authorities. They are usually paid a percentage of the bond amount. But they get paid only if they apprehend and return the fugitives.

Concept note-4: -The largest reward ever paid was a cool $30 million. The bounty was given to one person who provided information on Uday and Qusay Hussein, the sons of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, who were killed in 2003 after a firefight with U.S. forces.
