Concept note-1: -Battle of Fort Henry, American Civil War battle along the Tennessee River that helped the Union regain western and middle Tennessee as well as most of Kentucky.
Concept note-2: -The Battle of Nashville in the Civil War was a battle that started as an act of revenge. Lieutenant General John B. Hood of the Confederate Army had lost the Battle of Atlanta to the Union Army’s Major General William Tecumseh Sherman.
Concept note-3: -The Union victory at Nashville shattered Hood’s Army of Tennessee and effectively ended the war in Tennessee.
