Concept note-1: -The conspirators are a group of senators who work with Cassius and Brutus to kill Caesar. They are called Casca, Decius, Cinna, Metellus Cimber, Ligarius and Trebonius. Octavius Caesar is Caesar’s great-nephew and his chosen heir.
Concept note-2: -Eight conspirators were tried by a military commission for Abraham Lincoln’s murder. David Herold, Lewis Powell, George Atzerodt, and Mary Surratt were found guilty and hanged, while Samuel A. Mudd, Michael O’Laughlen, and Samuel Arnold were sentenced to life imprisonment. Edman Spangler received a six-year sentence.
Concept note-3: -Julius Caesar, dictator of Rome, is stabbed to death in the Roman Senate house by 60 conspirators led by Marcus Junius Brutus and Gaius Cassius Longinus on March 15.
Concept note-4: -Casca Witness to Caesar’s attempts to manipulate the people of Rome into offering him the crown, he reports the failure to Brutus and Cassius. He joins the conspiracy the night before the assassination and is the first conspirator to stab Caesar.
