EXPLANATIONS BELOW

Concept note-1: -After four years of conflict, the major Confederate armies surrendered to the United States in April of 1865 at Appomattox Court House and Bennett Place.

Concept note-2: -The resources available to both sides had a part in the Civil War lasting for four years allowing the war to drag on. Although the South had less soldiers, it had the civilians support and the resources they provided. While the North was more divided which allowed the war to last longer.

Concept note-3: -A civil war is a violent conflict between opposing groups within a country that becomes so intense that it appears like a war. Due to the violent conflict between both these ethnic groups thousands of people of both the communities have been killed.
