Which side won all the early battles of the Civil War?

Concept note-1: -Known in the north as the Battle of Bull Run and in the South as the Battle of Manassas, this battle, fought on July 21 1861 in Virginia was the first major battle of the Civil War. It was a Confederate victory.

Concept note-2: -Fact #8: The North won the Civil War. After four years of conflict, the major Confederate armies surrendered to the United States in April of 1865 at Appomattox Court House and Bennett Place.

Concept note-3: -Answer and Explanation: The South, also known as the Confederacy, won 10 of the 23 major battles throughout the 4 years of the war from 1861 to 1865. Also, three battles were considered a draw. Though the North won in the end, the Confederacy won about the same number of major battles.

Concept note-4: -Why did the South win most of the early battles of the Civil War? The South won most of the early battles of the Civil War because it was defending its own territory from Union troops that were unfamiliar with it.
