Concept note-1: -Imperialism occurs when a strong nation takes over a weaker nation or region and dominates its economic, political, or cultural life.

Concept note-2: -Answer and Explanation: Expansionism refers to spreading one’s country onto other lands, which may or may not be occupied. Imperialism refers to controlling other countries, which the empire may or may not directly settle. The American establishment of a continental empire was a mix of both.

Concept note-3: -Economic imperialism is minimally defined as the export of capital from one country to another.

Concept note-4: -The empire Great Britain would go on to found was the largest empire that the world has ever seen both in terms of landmass and population. Its power, both military and economic, remained unmatched for a few decades.
