Concept note-1: -The relationship between industrial revolution and imperialism is that industrialisation helped in starting imperialism in the 19th century. The period of industrial revolution and British imperialism was from 1750 to 1850. The role of imperialism was to maximize the country’s profits.
Concept note-2: -The industrial revolution was the force behind this New Imperialism, as it created not only the need for Europe to expand, but the power to successfully take and profitably maintain so many colonies overseas. The industrial revolution created the need for Europe to take over colonies around the world.
Concept note-3: -These new industrialized nations needed more raw materials to fuel their mass production and population growth. In order to maximize the countries profits, these industrialized nations went out to find nations that they could exploit natural resources and cheap labor from thus leading to imperialism.
Concept note-4: -Imperialism-When one country dominates another in order to extend its power and territory. After the Industrial revolution, this became common practice of European nations seeking new sources of raw materials and markets to sell manufactured products.
