Concept note-1: -On May 29, 1, 060 Rough Riders and 1, 258 of their horses and mules made their way to the Southern Pacific railroad to travel to Tampa, Florida where they would set off for Cuba.

Concept note-2: -Which of the following describes the Rough Riders? They were a regiment of soldiers who fought under Theodore Roosevelt in the Spanish-American War.

Concept note-3: -Roosevelt was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor, one hundred years later, for what was described as “… acts of bravery on 1 July, 1898, near Santiago de Cuba, Republic of Cuba, while leading a daring charge up San Juan Hill."
