Concept note-1: -Answer. Unlike Britain, France, and Russia, the United States wanted to keep trade in China open. The Qing Dynasty instituted the first contemporary diplomatic relationships after the 19th century. After the Revolution of Xinhai, Republic of China increased meaningful relations with the US.
