Concept note-1: -Woodrow Wilson, a leader of the Progressive Movement, was the 28th President of the United States (1913-1921). After a policy of neutrality at the outbreak of World War I, Wilson led America into war in order to “make the world safe for democracy.”

Concept note-2: -The United States moved to the forefront of world powers, and Wilson’s view of American foreign policy, now known as “Wilsonianism, ” continues to influence debates and ideas about America’s role as a global leader and the right of national self-determination.

Concept note-3: -’Moral’ diplomacy is a form of diplomacy proposed by President Woodrow Wilson in his 1912 United States presidential election. Moral diplomacy is the system in which support is given only to countries whose beliefs are analogous to that of the nation.

Concept note-4: -In January 1918, less than one year after the United States entered World War I, President Woodrow Wilson announced his Fourteen Points to try to ensure permanent peace and to make the world safe for democracy.
