Concept note-1: -1 Answer. Probably because Germany was and still is located in between the two nations and, in case of war, would have been forced to fight on two fronts simultaneously (a not very strategical advantageous situation indeed!).
Concept note-2: -This connected Britain, France and Russia in the ‘Triple Entente’ and stoked German fears of ‘encirclement’. German nationalists viewed Britain as a barrier to their global ambitions and German generals increasingly feared the growing military threat of Russia.
Concept note-3: -The Causes of World War One Austria blamed Serbia, which then looked to Russia for support. Germany declared war on Russia in support of Austria and on France because of her alliance with Russia. Britain declared war on Germany in support of Belgium and France, and on Turkey because of her alliance with Germany.
Concept note-4: -Bilateral relations between France and Russia never became warm. On February 7, 1992, France signed a bilateral treaty, recognizing Russia as a successor of the USSR. As described by Paris the bilateral relations between France and Russia remain longstanding, and remain strong to this day.
