Some European countries started increasing the size of their military. This caused other countries to get nervous and also start increasing the size of their military. This continued back and forth until many countries had a large military and were distrustful of one another. Which WW1 cause does this fall under?

Concept note-2: -How did the Taliban gain power? Following the withdrawal of the Soviet Union from Afghanistan in 1989 and the subsequent collapse of Afghanistan’s government, the country descended into civil war. The Taliban drew support with promises to restore order and justice.

Concept note-3: -The United States went to Afghanistan in 2001 to wage a necessary war of self-defense. On September 11, 2001, al-Qaeda terrorists attacked our country. They were able to plan and execute such a horrific attack because their Taliban hosts had given them safe haven in Afghanistan.
