Concept note-1: -Militarism is a country’s desire to strengthen their armed forces in order to make itself more powerful. The country slipped into a dangerous mixture of nationalism and militarism.

Concept note-2: -Militarism is the belief or the desire of a government or a people that a state should maintain a strong military capability and to use it aggressively to expand national interests and/or values.

Concept note-3: -Militarism or militarist ideology is a view on society. It says society should be like the military. This means that society should follow concepts that can be found in the culture, system and people of the military. People that say militarism is good are called militarists.

Concept note-4: -Militarism happens when a country builds up its military and makes it the most important thing in its society. Imperialism is the exploitation of a weaker nation by a stronger one. The two things are linked.

Concept note-5: -M Militarism-this was where countries built up their armies. Each country tried to compete to build the biggest army. This created a lot of rivalry and tension and it made countries suspicious of each other. They wanted to test their armies and prove they were the best in a war.
