This disease affected many soldiers after WWI was done (also known as post-traumatic stress disorder). Symptoms including depression, excessive irritability, guilt, recurrent nightmares, flashbacks to the traumatic scene, and overreaction to sudden noises.

Concept note-1: -The most common mental health problems among personnel and veterans are depression, anxiety and alcohol problems. Some people experience post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Concept note-2: -Untreated mental illness can cause severe emotional, behavioral and physical health problems. Complications sometimes linked to mental illness include: Unhappiness and decreased enjoyment of life. Family conflicts.

Concept note-3: -Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make healthy choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood.
