Concept note-1: -Peace without victory was one of the key elements of the Fourteen Points, a speech that was given on January 8, 1918 that outlined the conditions by which victory in WWI would hopefully ensure an end to the struggle and a lasting peace.

Concept note-2: -In the speech, Wilson directly addressed what he perceived as the causes for the world war by calling for the abolition of secret treaties, a reduction in armaments, an adjustment in colonial claims in the interests of both native peoples and colonists, and freedom of the seas.

Concept note-3: -He argued that the fighting in Europe should end with a “peace without victory.” Wilson explained that “victory” meant a peace forced on the losers who would surely harbor resentments leading to yet another war. Wilson stated the moral principles he believed necessary for world peace.
